Sit & Go is a type of poker tournament that begins once a specified number of players have registered, rather than at a predetermined start time. This makes this type of tournament quicker and more flexible.
Structure:
SNGs are played with a limited number of players, from 6 to 10, and a scheduled blind level system, that increases at regular intervals, similar to traditional tournaments.
Prize Pool:
By contrast, the prize pool in a Sit & Go represents the buy-ins of all the players included in it. Depending on the payout structure, some percentage of the total amount collected is divided among the top finishers.
Types of SNGs
There are several different Sit & Go formats: single-table SNGs, multi-table SNGs, and turbo or hyper-turbo variants, where blinds are fast-moving and overall gameplay is considerably shorter.
Player Skill Levels:
SNG’s appeal to players of all skill levels, from novice to advanced, giving them the opportunity to hone their skills in a competitive environment and win some real money.
