A showdown is the final stage of a poker hand when the remaining players reveal their hole cards to determine the winner.

A showdown occurs after the final betting round if two or more players are still in the hand. The player with the best five-card poker hand wins the pot according to standard poker hand rankings. If two or more players have equally strong hands, the pot is divided equally between them. Not every poker hand reaches a showdown. If all but one player folds before the final betting round, the remaining player wins the pot without revealing their cards.
